We have a full-time summer job at the Port Hardy Visitor Centre for a for a local youth who would like to get a start in tourism marketing, and front-line customer service. You will play a pivotal role in visitor services and gain valuable experience in customer service, retail sales, record keeping, event planning, and communications. You will also benefit from training and experience in digital marketing, and learn about writing and creating great content for our website and social media platforms.
Full training will be provided.
This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs.
The successful applicant:
(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
(b) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
(c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
Must be available to work full time from mid/late June to the end of August
Schedule may vary, weekends and holidays are to be expected.
